Xtra History Reasoning Sessions @ Harrow

Harrow African/Black History Season 2014/15 continues on March 9 (Kwaku presents a Garvey/UNIA quiz), then from March 16 (Explaining The UNIA & ACL’s Afrikan Philosophy & Practice Of Marcus Garvey (Bro Mandingo)), theĀ  Xtra History & Reasoning Sessions will take place Mondays 6.30-8.30pm fortnightly until late May.

Mar 30 Reflecting On Marcus Garvey/UNIA From A Young Person’s Perspective (Antonio & Marcel Phillips)
Apr 13 Highlighting Marcus Garvey, UNIA & Garveyism Through Film (Kwaku)
Apr 20 An Audio-Visual Presentation Of The Man, Organisation & Its Influence (Kwaku)
Apr 27 Marcus Garvey/UNIA & The Importance Of Music & The Arts (Dr Cecil Gutzmore)
May 11
May 25 Putting Marcus Garvey/UNIA Words To Music

Each Session will be led by a community historian or activist on a topic that speaks to a Garvey/UNIA theme, with time dedicated for audience discussion.

They are free, and open to all sections of the community. We aim for an inter-generational audience. Young people are especially welcome.
